// Scope
The community standard
This policy is part of the PSN.GG Terms of Service and applies across the website, forums, profiles, reactions, reviews, guides, support, official applications, APIs, and any direct messaging feature we may enable. Direct member-to-member messaging is currently disabled. Not reading these rules does not exempt an account from enforcement.
// 1. Respect and member conduct
Treat members like real people
- Do not threaten, harass, stalk, bully, shame, sexually harass, or organize abuse against another person.
- Do not use hate speech or attack people based on protected characteristics.
- Do not impersonate members, staff, Sony or game-industry personnel, brands, or public figures.
- Do not expose, solicit, or threaten to expose private information, credentials, location data, or identifying records.
- Disagree with ideas without turning discussion into personal attacks, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact.
// 2. Prohibited and unsafe content
Content that is never allowed
- Child sexual abuse material, sexualization of minors, grooming, or attempts to obtain sexual material from a minor.
- Pornography, sexually explicit content, sexual services, non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual deepfakes.
- Credible threats, instructions to commit violent wrongdoing, glorification or recruitment for terrorism, or encouragement of self-harm.
- Graphic gore or extreme violence, except limited and properly contextualized discussion of published game content.
- Malware, credential theft, phishing, malicious downloads, token grabbers, exploits, or links designed to compromise a person or device.
- Fraud, stolen property, illegal goods, trafficking, or instructions whose primary purpose is criminal abuse.
We may preserve and report content when required by law or when necessary to protect a person from serious harm.
// 3. Posting quality and organization
Keep discussions useful
- Post in the most relevant board, use a descriptive title, and apply an accurate prefix where available.
- Search before creating a duplicate thread and add meaningful context rather than one-word or low-effort posts.
- Do not flood, repeatedly bump, cross-post, derail threads, abuse formatting, or manipulate polls, reactions, reputation, vouches, followers, or ratings.
- Do not evade locked threads, moderation instructions, word filters, link restrictions, or posting limits.
- Quote only what is needed and credit sources. Do not present rumors, generated material, or another creator's work as verified fact or your own work.
// 4. Links, media, embeds, and promotion
Share safely and transparently
- Links and embedded Instagram, X, YouTube, or other supported media must be relevant and comply with these rules.
- Do not use deceptive redirects, shortened links intended to hide a destination, referral spam, link farms, unsolicited advertising, or repetitive self-promotion.
- Disclose material affiliations, sponsorships, affiliate links, and conflicts of interest.
- Do not upload or embed copyrighted material unless you own it, have permission, or have a lawful basis to use it.
- Staff may remove or neutralize a link or embed while its safety, legality, or authenticity is reviewed.
// 5. Accounts, identity, and security
One person, one honest account
- Do not create or control additional accounts to evade enforcement, impersonate others, manipulate site systems, or manufacture support.
- Do not sell, transfer, share, rent, or give away a PSN.GG account, and do not access another person's account without authorization.
- Use an accurate, non-deceptive identity. Usernames, avatars, biographies, headers, wallpapers, signatures, and custom styling must comply with this policy.
- Keep credentials and recovery methods secure. Report suspected compromise promptly.
- Do not abuse free renames, referrals, memberships, verification, awards, follows, reports, or staff tooling.
// 6. PlayStation and trophy integrity
Protect legitimate achievement
- Trophy timestamp tampering, save modification or injection, unauthorized unlocks, and “instant platinum” services are prohibited.
- Do not advertise, sell, arrange, or solicit account boosting, account recovery play, trophy manipulation, or PSN account trading.
- Linking a PSN ID through verification represents that you control that account. False or deceptive linking may be treated as fraud.
- Do not manipulate leaderboards, conceal known illegitimate trophies, or harass members solely because a profile is under review.
- Community cooperation for legitimate multiplayer trophies is allowed when it does not involve account access, cheating, payment for play, or platform-rule evasion.
// 7. Store, payments, and downloads
Use official commerce channels
- PSN.GG operates an official shop/store and download library, not a member-to-member marketplace.
- Do not offer private sales, counterfeit goods, unauthorized keys, stolen payment methods, payment laundering, or off-platform transactions through community features.
- Do not initiate fraudulent disputes or chargebacks, abuse coupons, bypass purchase limits, or redistribute licensed downloads.
- Membership badges, profile styling, boosts, and other benefits may not be manipulated or falsely represented.
// 8. Technical abuse
Do not attack or misuse the service
- Do not bypass authentication, Sentinel challenges, rate limits, access controls, API protections, or platform restrictions.
- Do not scrape, crawl, automate, reverse engineer, or extract data in a way that harms the service, violates law, or exceeds written permission.
- Do not probe for vulnerabilities except through good-faith coordinated disclosure to PSN.GG Support.
- Do not interfere with service availability, poison data, inject code, enumerate private records, or resell cached PSN.GG data.
// 9. Moderation, reports, and appeals
Enforcement and safety review
- Use the content report control or PSN.GG Support; do not organize public dogpiles or false reports.
- PSN.GG may use automated signals and human review to detect spam, unsafe media, fraud, and policy violations.
- Actions may include limiting distribution, removing content, restricting features, invalidating reputation, warning, suspending, or permanently terminating accounts.
- Severity, context, history, intent, harm, and attempts to evade enforcement may affect the action taken. Serious violations may result in immediate removal.
- Follow moderator instructions. Appeals must be honest, concise, and submitted through support; creating another account is not an appeal.
